Fourth graders Zoe M. recently did something few students could do. After being named Valley Institute Spelling Bee champion and Washington County runner-up, Zoe participated in the regional competition. First, she had to score high enough on a written test to participate in the live Zoom spelling competition. Before the live Zoom she practiced with several teachers in the building making sure her spelling skills were at their best! Then the day arrived, and Zoe made it through several rounds and hours of spelling. Eventually she tied for 3rd place overall beating out many middle school spellers! Way to go Zoe!!
